About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Electro Technology students! As a Teacher of Electrical Trades, you will instruct and mentor students by delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in Electrotechnology, guiding them through the theoretical and practical aspects of the trade. You will utilise your subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications to ensure students receive up-to-date and industry-relevant education. Additionally, you will assess and support students by evaluating their performance and providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals and develop their technical skills. You will also contribute to curriculum development by collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and ensure it meets industry standards and student needs.

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
  • Hold appropriate Electrical Licence issued by NSW Fair Trading (Endorsed Contractor Certificate or Qualified Supervisors Certificate).
  • Hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience relevant to your industry.
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
