About the role
About the roleJoin our team as a Technical Support Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our engineering projects. As part of the designated Project Team, you'll provide invaluable support to guarantee that our engineering solutions are not only designed and built safely but also maintained to the highest quality standards and cost-effectively. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Rail Safety Law, addressing technical issues, and offering sound advice to our Coordinating Project Engineer and Principal Project Engineer.
Your responsibilities will include managing contracts, from document development to tender evaluation and contract administration, while also serving as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide actionable feedback will be essential in facilitating project delivery. Additionally, you'll contribute to our commitment to continuous improvement through research and the preparation of project-specific reports.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the PTA’s High-Capacity Signalling (HCS) Project.
High-Capacity Signalling (HCS) Project.The HCS Project has been prepared in support of the Government of Western Australia’s (WA) METRONET program of new and extended railway lines. An expanding rail network requires more trains to service it and upgrades to the existing signalling and train control systems to make better use of the rail network by allowing more trains to run more often.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which fulltime fixed term appointments with possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency may be made.
